It's official. Tate is off the charts. He just had his 6 month check-up, weighing in at (drumroll please).... 21 lbs., 14 ounces!! He is officially above the 99th percentile in weight! Deliciously so, if I do say so myself. So many rolls to kiss!
P.S. Is it ridiculous that the fact that he is so chubby makes me happy and proud? Like "I did that! I made that healthy boy!"
Aaaahh! That baby is crying out to be snuggled.
ReplyDeleteToday I had to laugh, when I found out a friend from law school was similarly fiercely proud of his baby's baby rolls:
ReplyDeleteFriend: "He's in the >97th percentile!"
Me: "You should meet Tate--he's in the 99th! They both have happy baby rolls!!"
Friend: "What? I thought they didn't measure higher than 97th!!!!"
Me: "Maybe that's just how they roll in Portland?"
Hurray for happy baby rolls!
@ brigid: tell your friend I am not certain the highest percentile... only that the pediatrician said "Tate is up here" and pointed to a dot above the highest line on the chart. So I assumed that the spot of the dot (ie off the chart) was around 99th. I could be wrong though...
